Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas Cabin 4018 Cruise Reviews

Enchantment - 4018 - Mar 2012
The location of 4018 is towards the front of the ship on the port side. My main gripes about that particular cabin was with the noise. The promenade deck, located above the room can be noisy with heavy-footed walkers who choose to walk laps on deck 5 rather than the walking track on deck 10. To make matters worse, you can't walk completely around deck 5 a good bit of the time, therefore the walkers turn around within 15 seconds and are once again above your room. The room itself was noisy in rough seas. Where the wall meets the ceiling, we had plenty of creaking. One night I needed to fix this at 3:20am by shimming it with folded paper. Found many existing "paper shims" in place, so this was an obvious issue for someone else in the past. The pluses are that you can hear the waves against the hull that provides a wonderful white noise, that coupled with the rocking does make one rather sleepy, when the room wasn't creaky. Since the room is at the front of the ship, there's minimal foot traffic, very quiet from that perspective. One thing that should be noted is that the room was very dry which might pose a problem for anyone with sinus-related issues such as myself. Keep water nearby while sleeping, you'll need it.
