Suite Sweet Cruise - Jul 2012
As suite passengers, we checked in quickly as soon as we got off the RC shuttle from the Ft. Lauderdale airport. After waiting in the private suite lounge,Suite passengers boarded the ship first. The room was clean and big for 4 of us including 2 teenagers who slept on the sofa bed. They claim their bed was surprisingly comfortable. The closet was spacious, there were numerous drawers and enough hangers for all of our nice clothes. There is a free pressing service on the first formal night (1 piece per person only). There was a welcoming letter from the concierges telling us how we would be taken care of and the receipts for the shore excursions were placed on the table. Our room attendant brought in ice with Evian water bottles daily. One night, when we returned to our room, our concierges (Charmaine and Allan-wonderful people) presented a bottle of wine for us. The bathroom was spacious too. We enjoyed breakfast in Concierge Club each morning; the Deluxe meal with salmon was delicious. Before dinner, we had our appetizers in the Concierge Club-the gentlemen are very friendly and very professional. It is literally about 20 steps outside the room to get to the Concierge Club and the Library. We enjoyed the view from our room especially in the morning and at night. The service was excellent (room attendant, waiter, assistant waiter). Ms. Ofilia, our room attendant cleaned our room twice a day; after we left the room in the morning and after dinner. My husband and I enjoyed using the robes and the slippers provided-very comfortable. The carpet outside our stateroom was constantly cleaned I mean daily, I saw a man vacuum the hall way in front of the My two children (13 and 15) completed their PADI scuba dive license while traveling. They especially enjoyed the open water dives in St. Maarten. If you stay in this stateroom, I am sure you will meet Ofilia. She was excellent and friendly with my two children. She served us very well on this cruise. Enjoy the towel animals greeting you some nights when you return after dinner. As suite guests, we were sitting in the VIP section for the show "Frozen in Time"-excellent. I watched this show twice. Seeing this show in the very front seat gave me the different perspective of the show. My two children who were at first reluctant to watch this show enjoyed it very much. For the "Headliner" show, we also sat in the VIP seats-- excellent view in the Opal Theater (Deck 5) You just show your gold sea pass. This was our family's first cruise and I must say that we will be talking about this cruise for a long time. In fact, we are returning next year for the West Caribbean cruise ...hopefully in the same stateroom. I hope you find my review helpful. Be happy.
