Smoker's Heaven - Jan 2012
We were under the assumption that smoking was not permitted in the cabins, which is true - however, smoking is permitted on the oceanview balconies, which is unfortunate for us nonsmokers. We had chainsmokers next to our cabin and could not sit outside the balcony or even leave our balcony door open as the smell moved into the cabin. We were sorry we paid for a balcony we rarely used. Yes, we complained, but RCL said there is nothing they can do about smoking on the oceanview balconies, so nonsmokers must suffer if they want an oceanview balcony. I did suggest that they make the forward balconies nonsmoking balconies so at least the smoke moves to the back of the ship while sailing, but the suggestion was rejected since sea laws allow smoking.
