I was on the Celebrity Century for the Alaskan Cruise 8/14-8/21. My cabin was under the galley (4th deck--cabin 4084) and there were many odd noises throughout the day and night (sounds that seemed like metal knocking together, grates closing, rolling of heavy carts). This noise interfered with my sleep. The crew offered earplugs--I thought that outrageous-- and at one point had three people listening to the noises but otherwise did nothing. At one point I heard running water and when I came back from my shore excursion I found a big blower outside my cabin door because they had done work. The blower stayed there making noise for about a day--except during the night when I would not let it be there. Earlier on in the cruise, I tripped over a pail of water in the hallway--obviously because there was a leak.
